Country of Art and History
Since 2004, the Community of Communes of the Guebwiller Region, made up of 19 communes, has been labeled Country of Art and History. This label, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, is awarded to communities that are actively involved in the knowledge, protection, safeguarding, enhancement and animation of their heritage.

ENGAGEMENT
Action program
The community is committed to an action program whose objectives are:
- the presentation of the heritage in all its components,
- raising residents' awareness of their environment,
- the reception of the tourist public,
- introducing young people to architecture and town planning,
- the implementation of a program thanks to qualified staff (architecture and heritage facilitator, certified tour guides),
- the development of training actions on local heritage.
National Network
Cities and Countries of Art and History
The Cities and Countries of Art and History constitute a national network dependent on the Ministry of Culture and Communication. It allows the exchange of the most innovative experiences. This exchange network is recognizable thanks to a label.
