The Architecture and Heritage Interpretation Center (CIAP) is a facility linked to the Pays d'art et d'histoire label, obtained by the CCRG since 2004.
Accessible to the public within the Château de la Neuenbourg since 2019, it is a space open to all, a place of resources and exchanges for inhabitants and tourists. Its role is to provide the tools to analyze and understand the territory and to find one's bearings.
MAIN ROLES OF CIAP
- Enhancement of the territory's architectural and heritage resources with a view to promoting cultural development beneficial to all,
- Sensitization of the population to the stakes of the architectural, urban and landscape evolution of the territory,
- Provision of tools allowing to apprehend the territory and to locate itself there.
From the prince-abbots of Murbach to contemporary architecture and the evolution of landscapes, the region of Guebwiller and its history are given to visitors to read.
Many didactic and fun mediation tools allow them to be actors in their discoveries: models, films, tactile or digital leaflets, interactive map or even games on local heritage.
Various workshops and discovery sessions are offered for schools and families.
The program linked to the "Pays d'art et d'histoire" label continues throughout the territory thanks to guided tours, flash tours, discovery tours, etc.
