Explore and learn for young audiences

School public

Working together, the architecture and heritage coordinator and the educational action manager coordinate the actions of the educational service in partnership with the Regional Department of Cultural Affairs of the Grand Est, the Academic Inspectorate and teachers. The educational activities are supervised by guides-lecturers approved by the Ministry of Culture.

What possible activities?

The educational activities are available in different forms (visits, workshops, games, etc.), thus allowing a varied approach to heritage and adapted to everyone's objectives. They can be followed independently or associated with others, thus constituting a cycle of several sessions.

Practical arrangements

  • The activities are free for the public establishments of the territory with support for bus transport if necessary.
  • For private or non-territorial establishments, a flat rate of €80 has been established (cost as of 30.12.19).
  • Students remain under the responsibility and supervision of teachers and/or chaperones during activities.
  • The duration of a workshop is 1h30-2h.

During school holidays, the Pays d'art et d'histoire service offers workshops for families and youth service, around a theme related to the history of the castle or the current temporary exhibition.

Thanks to a booklet, help Professor Douglas find the treasure of Neuenbourg. Riddles, investigations and games will allow you to discover the history of the castle and its park. Another adventure around the theme of trees is also to be discovered! Booklets available free of charge at CIAP reception during opening hours or in digital format in our brochures.

Ask for the tree memory free of charge at the reception of the Architecture and Heritage Interpretation Center during opening hours. 

We lend it to you for a game in the shade of the trees or in the exhibitions. A tool suitable for little ones which will also allow you to search for the trees present in the images and discover the remarkable species of the park!

During the XNUMXth century, many families worked to develop the textile industry. Discover them thanks to this game known to everyone! With friends or family, ask for a game at the CIAP reception and we will lend it to you for free for the duration of a game!
